Just after I left the membersss at Baybeats and before joining the rest at Balaclava, I went to draw money at Marina Square. Queued behind this guy who was taking too long at the ATM. Went for a leak first. When I came out of the toilet, this guy was just glaring at me, staring at me all the way til I queued behing him again. What the fuck!??! I didn't give a shit, staring rigth back at him.
 
He put his money in hsi wallet and started shouting.
 
Moron: "Why did you do that for?"
 
Me: "Do what?"
 
Irritating moron: "Sniff and blow your nose just now before you went to the toilet. Now you are doing it again... 4 times."
 
Me: "Huh? What's that?"
 
Fucken irritating moron: "You sniffed and blew your nose onto my neck!!! What are you trying to do?"
 
Me: "Eh, I'm having a cold the whole day..."
 
Fucken irritating moron who deserves to die: "Don't lie to me... what are you doing?"
 
Me: "Eh, I dunno if I did that to you. I'm sorry if I did that by accident. I'm having a cold here (It's true... me sick for a few days.)"
 
Imbecile pauses for a moment: "Ermmm.... okay, drink more water..." Petted my shoulder and walked off.
 
Me: "You too... Take it EASY!!!"
 
Motherfucken piece of shite didn't even apologise at all. He was lucky to walk away fast before I could use my 5-Step-Heart-Imploding Palm Technique on him!!!
 
 
Saturday: Baybeats @ the Esplanade
The closing band for the smaller stage was this Thai all-girl band (more like girl-group in the vein of Atomic Kitten, which I like for all the wrong reasons),  Venus Butterfly. They could barely play their instruments. The keyboardist has the bloody appregiator on her soft-synth programmed exactly the same appregios throughout all 6 songs. It was fucken irritating to say the least.
 
They opened their set with Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun'. According to Gracie, they stunned the audience into complete silence. I'm not sure about that. But what the fuck?!?! They followed a series of bands playing rather non-mainstream stuff, be it punk/shoegazer/whatever. The concept of slotting a novelty item like Venus Butterfly which was struggling to be a mainstream act was rather tasteless to say the least. Absolute low point for me for the whole Baybeats fest. I'd rather even take emo punk over them. That's how bad their set was...
 
I'm thinking that John C., the organiser behind the gig either has a sick sense of humour or was blown by all 5 of 'em. However, I must say, the only good thing about the band is their legs.

The keyboardist... Great smile but she gyrates (after like, playing 3 notes on her keyboards for every song) like she's working some joints in Patpong, Bangkok. Someone, give her a pole man!!!
